SPES 2020 (Software Platform Embedded Systems 2020): The Innovation Alliance SPES 2020 aims at streamlining embedded software development in a domain-spanning manner. For this purpose, a seamless, model-based methodology for the development of embedded software is to be conceived. In designing this methodoloy, the Innovation Alliance focusses on the application fields of automation, automotive, avionics, energy, as well as the medical sector. This project is being carried out in cooperation with industry partners, like for instance Siemens AG, Robert Bosch GmbH and the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS), with academic partners like for example the University Duisburg Essen and the University Paderborn, as well as with technology transfer institutes as the Fraunhofer IESE.
