The latest release of classgen is version 1.3beta2. Please don't be afraid of the "beta". Only certain parts of classgen which are invoked by the -composite parameter(see doc) are concerned by this beta status. Everything else works fine.

classgen should run on every platform which supports JDK 1.2.2 or above. For JDK download go to http://java.sun.com/j2se. Tested platforms are:

• Windows 98, 2000 / JDK 1.3
• Windows 98, 2000 / JDK 1.4
• Solaris / JDK 1.2.2
• Linux / JDK 1.3
• Linux / JDK 1.4

Please let us know if you're running classgen on another platform.

classgen comes as binary or source distribution. For installation instructions please check the documentation.

Binary distribution

Download classgen 1.3beta2 as zip, tar or tar.gz.

Source distribution

We're currently offering the source distribution only to fulfill GPL requirements. There is neither a build instruction nor any other documentation available. This will change with the final release of classgen 1.3 expected for late summer 2002. Get it as zip, tar or tar.gz.
