AGGN - African Good Governance Network (AGGN Fellowship)

Wassiou Sitou was recently selected as a member of the African Good Governance Network (AGGN), a new leadership programme of the German Academic Exchange Body (DAAD) under the Patron of His Excellency Horst Köhler, President of the Federal Republic of Germany. The selection of Wassiou Sitou is based on his Nomination from the Institute for Informatics of the Technische Universität München (TU München).

The AGGN is founded in 2007. The Network is a long-term training and scholarship programme. The purpose of AGGN is to help prepare young African students or graduates for their roles as future leaders in establishing democracy, the rule of law and prosperity in their home countries. On an annual basis, German universities, African tandem institutes or other funding agencies are invited to nominate candidates from their students, alumni and members, a total of ten of which are chosen by a DAAD set-up committee as new members of the AGGN each year. The AGGN counts 32 members by the date of 2009, January 31st. Maximal 10 members join the network every year. Wassiou Sitou has joined the AGGN in 2009.

ANH - African New Hope e.V. (ANH Membership)

Wassiou Sitou is one of the 7 founders of the non governmental organization African New Hope.

The African New Hope e.V. (ANH) is founded in June 2000 by 7 students at the Technische Universität München (TU München) in Germany. ANH is a long-term programme to assist children in Africa for educational purpose. The activities of African New Hope are financed by means of membership-fees and donations. Wassiou Sitou has been the President of African New Hope e.V. from 2004 to 2006. He currently exercises the post of the Secretary-General since 2007. The activities are carried on a volontary basis.
