Outline

Successful application of model based development in domains like business information systems or embedded systems has demonstrated its practical relevance. However, with the shift to complex models with a long-term evolution, issues related to the reuse of models gain importance for practical application of model based development, including partitioning and maintaining models and managing their change. Adequate modeling techniques must

This workshop focuses on the scientific and practical aspects of model based development (models, methods, and tools) with a focus on managing the longevity of models. Topics of the workshop include:

Format of Workshop

The workshop takes places over a full day co-located with the IEEE Symposium on Visual Languages and Human-Centric Computing (VL/HCC) at the beautiful Herrsching am Ammersee in Germany. The workshop will contain presentations as well as working sessions. The latter has the aim to coordinate a magazine contribution about evolution and maintenance in model-based development.

Submissions

We encourage submissions in one of the following categories:

All accepted papers will be published as preproceedings in a technical report of Technische Universität München. Extended versions of selected papers will be published in the Journal Software and Systems Modeling. Selected participants will be invited to submit an extended version of their papers after the workshop. The initial submissions must conform to the LNCS formatting guidelines.

The submission must be sent via EasyChair.
